Alternate Names
IIAE7; interferon regulatory factor 3; IRF-3
Description (eCommerce)
Interferon regulatory factor 3 (IRF3) is a member of the IRF family of transcription factors that plays a critical role in immune cell function and development. IRF3 mediates interferon-stimulated response element (ISRE) promoter activation and functions as a molecular switch for antiviral activity.
Description (Vector)
IRF3 encodes a member of the interferon regulatory transcription factor (IRF) family. The encoded protein is found in an inactive cytoplasmic form that upon serine/threonine phosphorylation forms a complex with CREBBP. This complex translocates to the nucleus and activates the transcription of interferons alpha and beta, as well as other interferon-induced genes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
