Alternate Names
cGMP-dependent protein kinase anchoring protein 42kDa; cGMP-dependent protein kinase-anchoring protein of 42 kDa; FKSG21; G kinase-anchoring protein 1; GKAP42; protein kinase anchoring protein GKAP42
Description (eCommerce)
G kinase-anchoring protein 1 (GKAP1) is a protein that is highly similar to the mouse cGMP-dependent protein kinase anchoring protein 42kDa. The mouse protein has been found to localize with the Golgi and recruit cGMP-dependent protein kinase I alpha to the Golgi in mouse testes. GKAP1 is thought to play a role in germ cell development [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 80318)].
Description (Vector)
GKAP1 encodes a protein that is highly similar to the mouse cGMP-dependent protein kinase anchoring protein 42kDa. The mouse protein has been found to localize with the Golgi and recruit cGMP-dependent protein kinase I alpha to the Golgi in mouse testes. It is thought to play a role in germ cell development. Transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
