Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
CCDC94; coiled-coil domain containing 94; coiled-coil domain-containing protein 94; YJU2 splicing factor homolog
Description (eCommerce)
CCDC94 is part of the spliceosome which catalyzes two sequential transesterification reactions, first the excision of the non-coding intron from pre-mRNA and then the ligation of the coding exons to form the mature mRNA. CCDC94 also plays a role in stabilizing the structure of the spliceosome catalytic core and docking of the branch helix into the active site, producing 5'-exon and lariat intron-3'-intermediates. CCDC94 may protect cells from TP53-dependent apoptosis upon dsDNA break damage through association with PRP19-CD5L complex. [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9BW85].

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
