This is an Adenovirus expressing shRNA for silencing of Human ADH4.
shADV-200459
Ad-h-ADH4-shRNA
Ready-to-use Adenovirus expressing shRNA for silencing of Human ADH4 (alcohol dehydrogenase 4 (class II), pi polypeptide). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
ADH-2; HEL-S-4
Description (Vector)
ADH4 encodes class II alcohol dehydrogenase 4 pi subunit, which is a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase family. Members of this enzyme family metabolize a wide variety of substrates, including ethanol, retinol, other aliphatic alcohols, hydroxysteroids, and lipid peroxidation products. Class II alcohol dehydrogenase is a homodimer composed of 2 pi subunits. It exhibits a high activity for oxidation of long-chain aliphatic alcohols and aromatic alcohols and is less sensitive to pyrazole. ADH4 is localized to chromosome 4 in the cluster of alcohol dehydrogenase genes.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
