The conjugation of ubiquitin to proteins is an important means to regulate protein activity for many cellular processes by tagging them for degradation. Removal of Ub can rescue proteins from degradation. This is accomplished by the ubiquitin-specific processing protease (UBP) family of enzymes. Ubiquitin specific processing protease 33 (USP33) is a member of this family.
Description (Vector)
USP33 encodes a deubiquinating enzyme important in a variety of processes, including Slit-dependent cell migration and beta-2 adrenergic receptor signaling. The protein is negatively regulated through ubiquitination by von Hippel-Lindau tumor protein (VHL). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants and protein isoforms.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
