Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
docking protein alpha; DP; DP-alpha; signal recognition particle receptor (docking protein); signal recognition particle receptor subunit alpha; Sralpha; SR-alpha; SRP receptor alpha subunit; SRP-alpha; SRPR
Description (eCommerce)
The SRPRA gene encodes for signal recognition particle receptor subunit alpha. This subunit of the endoplasmic reticulum signal recognition particle receptor that, in conjunction with the signal recognition particle, is involved in the targeting and translocation of signal sequence tagged secretory and membrane proteins across the endoplasmic reticulum [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6734)].
Description (Vector)
The gene encodes a subunit of the endoplasmic reticulum signal recognition particle receptor that, in conjunction with the signal recognition particle, is involved in the targeting and translocation of signal sequence tagged secretory and membrane proteins across the endoplasmic reticulum. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
