AAV-h-RECQL5-shRNA
Ready-to-use AAV expressing shRNA for silencing of Human RECQL5 (RecQ like helicase 5). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
ATP-dependent DNA helicase Q5; DNA helicase, RecQ-like type 5; RecQ helicase-like 5; RecQ protein-like 5; RECQ5
Description (eCommerce)
RECQ5 is one of five human homologs of RecQ DNA helicases. RecQ helicases function in DNA replication and repair and are important to genomic stability. Mutations in the genes encoding BLM (RECQL2), WRN (RECQL3), and RECQL4 result in a predisposition to cancer. No heritable disease has been found to be associated with RECQL5.
Description (Vector)
RECQL5 is a helicase that is important for genome stability. The encoded protein also prevents aberrant homologous recombination by displacing RAD51 from ssDNA. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
