Description (eCommerce)
NELFE (negative elongation factor E) is one of four subunits that make up the NELF transcription elongation factor. The four subunits of NELF are NELF A (WHSC2), NELFB, either NELFC or NELFD, and NELFE. NELF, along with DRB sensitivity-inducing factor (DSIF), functions to cause transcriptional pausing of RNA polymerase II. NELF-E is an RNA-binding protein. The RNA binding activity of NELF-E is critical to the function of NELF.
Description (Vector)
RDBP is part of a complex termed negative elongation factor (NELF) which represses RNA polymerase II transcript elongation. This protein bears similarity to nuclear RNA-binding proteins; however, it has not been demonstrated that this protein binds RNA. The protein contains a tract of alternating basic and acidic residues, largely arginine (R) and aspartic acid (D). The gene localizes to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class III region on chromosome 6.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
