PH domain-containing family A member 1; pleckstrin homology domain containing, family A (phosphoinositide binding specific) member 1; pleckstrin homology domain-containing family A member 1; tandem PH domain-containing protein 1; TAPP1; TAPP-1
Description (eCommerce)
Pleckstrin homology domain containing A1 (PLECKHA1) binds specifically to phosphatidylinositol 3,4-diphosphate (PtdIns3,4P2), but not to other phosphoinositides. PLECKHA1 may recruit other proteins to the plasma membrane. [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9HB21].
Description (Vector)
PLEKHA1 encodes a pleckstrin homology domain-containing adapter protein. The encoded protein is localized to the plasma membrane where it specifically binds phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate. This protein may be involved in the formation of signaling complexes in the plasma membrane. Polymorphisms in this gene are associated with age-related macular degeneration. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 5.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
