Description (eCommerce)
Nuclear factor of activated T cells 1(NFAT1) is a member of the NFAT family of transcription factors which includes NFAT1 (NFATp/NFATc2), NFAT2 (NFATc/NFATc1), NFAT3 (NFATc4), and NFAT4 (NFATc3/NFATx). Different members of the NFAT family are expressed in a distinct but overlapping set of cell types. NFAT1 plays a role in the inducible expression of cytokine genes in T-cells, especially in the induction of the IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, TNF-alpha or GM-CSF. NFAT1 is a member of the multicomponent NFATC transcription complex that consists of at least two components, a pre-existing cytoplasmic component NFAT1 and an inducible nuclear component NFAT2 [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q13469].
Description (Vector)
NFATC2 is a member of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) family. The product of this gene is a DNA-binding protein with a REL-homology region (RHR) and an NFAT-homology region (NHR). This protein is present in the cytosol and only translocates to the nucleus upon T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation, where it becomes a member of the nuclear factors of activated T cells transcription complex. This complex plays a central role in inducing gene transcription during the immune response. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
