Description (eCommerce)
NCOA5 (Nuclear Receptor Coactivator 5), also known as CIA (Coactivator Independent of AF-2 function), has been shown interact exclusively with estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) and beta (ERbeta) to function as a coactivator and enhance transcriptional activation by ER. NCOA5 has also been demonstrated to function as a corepressor of MYC/c-myc in response to 17-beta estradiol.
Description (Vector)
NCOA5 encodes a coregulator for the alpha and beta estrogen receptors and the orphan nuclear receptor NR1D2. The protein localizes to the nucleus, and is thought to have both coactivator and corepressor functions. Its interaction with nuclear receptors is independent of the AF2 domain on the receptors, which is known to regulate interaction with other coreceptors. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants for this gene have been described. However, the full length nature of one of the variants has not been determined.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
