Alternate Names
70 kDa androgen receptor coactivator; 70 kDa AR-activator; Androgen receptor coactivator 70 kDa protein; androgen receptor-associated protein of 70 kDa; ARA70; ELE1; NCoA-4; nuclear receptor coactivator 4; PTC3; ret fused; RET-activating gene ELE1; Ret-activating protein ELE1; RFG
Description (eCommerce)
ARA70 (androgen receptor-associated 70) was originally identified as part of chromosomal rearrangement involving the RET proto-oncogene. It was subsequently isolated in a two-hybrid screen as a ligand-dependent associated factor of the androgen receptor (AR). In addition to functioning as a co-activator of the AR, ARA70 has been found to function as a co-activator of the vitamin D receptor, estrogen receptor, PPARalpha, and PPARgamma.
Description (Vector)
NCOA4 encodes an androgen receptor coactivator. The encoded protein interacts with the androgen receptor in a ligand-dependent manner to enhance its transcriptional activity. Chromosomal translocations between this gene and the ret tyrosine kinase gene, also located on chromosome 10, have been associated with papillary thyroid carcinoma. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. Pseudogenes are present on chromosomes 4, 5, 10, and 14.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
