Alternate Names
CD antigen CD94; CD94; CD94 antigen; Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily D member 1; killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily D, member 1; KP43; natural killer cells antigen CD94; NK cell receptor
Description (eCommerce)
KLRD1 (CD94) is an immune receptor preferentially expressed on Natural killer (NK) cells, a distinct lineage of lymphocytes that mediate cytotoxic activity and secrete cytokines upon immune stimulation. CD94 is one of several genes of the C-type lectin superfamily expressed by NK cells that are involved in the regulation of NK cell function including self-nonself discrimination. [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 3824)].
Description (Vector)
Natural killer (NK) cells are a distinct lineage of lymphocytes that mediate cytotoxic activity and secrete cytokines upon immune stimulation. Several genes of the C-type lectin superfamily, including members of the NKG2 family, are expressed by NK cells and may be involved in the regulation of NK cell function. KLRD1 (CD94) is an antigen preferentially expressed on NK cells and is classified as a type II membrane protein because it has an external C terminus. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
