Alternate Names
ATP:1D-myo-inositol-hexakisphosphate phosphotransferase; IHPK1; inositol hexakisphosphate kinase 1; inositol hexaphosphate kinase 1; insP6 kinase 1; Pi uptake stimulator; PiUS
Description (eCommerce)
IP6K1 converts inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6) to diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate (InsP7/PP-InsP5). It converts 1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate (InsP5) to PP-InsP4 [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q92551].
Description (Vector)
IP6K1 encodes a member of the inositol phosphokinase family. The encoded protein may be responsible for the conversion of inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6) to diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate (InsP7/PP-InsP5). It may also convert 1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate (InsP5) to PP-InsP4. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
