Alternate Names
cancer-associated surface antigen RCAS1; EB9; estrogen receptor-binding fragment-associated gene 9 protein; PDAF; receptor-binding cancer antigen expressed on SiSo cells
Description (eCommerce)
The gene for RCAS1 (receptor-binding cancer antigen expressed on SiSo cells) was identified as an estrogen-responsive gene. Regulation by estrogen of transcription of RCAS1 is mediated by the estrogen receptor which binds to the estrogen-responsive element (ERE) found in the 5'-flanking region of the RCAS1 gene, EBAG9 (estrogen receptor binding site associated antigen 9). RCAS1 is a tumor-associated antigen that is expressed at high frequency in a variety of cancers [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 9166)].
Description (Vector)
EBAG9 was identified as an estrogen-responsive gene. Regulation of transcription by estrogen is mediated by estrogen receptor which binds to the estrogen-responsive element (ERE) found in the 5'-flanking region of this gene. The encoded protein is a tumor-associated antigen that is expressed at high frequency in a variety of cancers. Two transcript variants differing in the 5' UTR, but encoding the same protein, have been identified for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
