Description (eCommerce)
CDK5RAP3 (CDK5 regulatory subunit-associated protein 3) was identified as a protein that associates with the activating subunit of Cdk5, p25NCK5A. Cdk5 is a brain specific cyclin-dependent kinase important to mammalian brain development; however CDK5RAP3 appears to be widely expressed in human tissues. CDK5RAP3 appears to exhibit functions that extend beyond its association with Cdk5. CDK5RAP3 is involved in modulating the G2/M DNA damage checkpoint and can associate with and regulate the Cdk1-cyclin B1 complex. CDK5RAP3 has also been demonstrated to interact with and regulate the tumor suppressor ARF (alternative reading frame) to further play a role in cell cycle progression.
Description (Vector)
Neuronal CDC2-like kinase, which is involved in the regulation of neuronal differentiation, is composed of a catalytic subunit, CDK5, and an activating subunit, p25NCK5A. The protein encoded by this gene binds to p25NCK5A and therefore may be involved in neuronal differentiation. The encoded protein, which may be a substrate of neuronal CDC2-like kinase, has also been found in vascular endothelial cells, where it mediates cell proliferation.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
