Description (eCommerce)
Cyclin Y is a recently identified member of the cyclin family of proteins which function as regulators of cyclin dependent kinases. It was identified as a protein that interacts with PFTK1, a factor that shares limited homology to CDKs, but functions as a CDK by regulating cell cycle progression and cell proliferation. The binding of cyclin Y to PFTK1 enhances PFTK1 kinase activity and influences its intracellular location.
Description (Vector)
Cyclins, such as CCNY, control cell division cycles and regulate cyclin-dependent kinases (e.g., CDC2; MIM 116940) (Li et al., 2009 (PubMed 18060517)).(supplied by OMIM, May 2009)

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
