Description (eCommerce)
ESCO2 (establishment of cohesion 1 homolog2) is an acetyltransferase that is essential to sister chromatid cohesion during S phase. Recent studies reveal that ESCO2 associates with components of the CoREST transcriptional repression complex. ESCO2 has also been shown to possess histone H3 K9 methylation activity. These findings suggest a role for ESCO2 in transcriptional regulation via the modulation of chromatin structure.
Description (Vector)
ESCO2 encodes a protein that may have acetyltransferase activity and may be required for the establishment of sister chromatid cohesion during the S phase of mitosis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Roberts syndrome.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
