Description (eCommerce)
Rab3-GAP1 is the catalytic subunit of Rab3-GAP. Rab3-GAP is a key regulator of calcium-mediated hormone and neurotransmitter exocytosis. Defects in Rab3-GAP1 are the cause of Warburg micro syndrome 1 (WARBM1) a disorder characterized by severe developmental abnormalities of the eye and central nervous system.
Description (Vector)
RAB3GAP1 encodes the catalytic subunit of a Rab GTPase activating protein. The encoded protein forms a heterodimer with a non-catalytic subunit to specifically regulate the activity of members of the Rab3 subfamily of small G proteins. This protein mediates the hydrolysis of GTP bound Rab3 to the GDP bound form. Mutations in this gene are associated with Warburg micro syndrome. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
