Description (eCommerce)
Pre-mRNA-processing factor 6 (PRP6) is involved in pre-mRNA splicing. PRP6 may act in the tri-snRNP complex as a bridging factor between U5 and U4/U6 snRNPs in the late step of spliceosome assembly. It may be necessary for tri-snRNP formation [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) ww.uniprot.org/uniprot/O94906].
Description (Vector)
PRPF6 appears to be involved in pre-mRNA splicing, possibly acting as a bridging factor between U5 and U4/U6 snRNPs in formation of the spliceosome. The encoded protein also can bind androgen receptor, providing a link between transcriptional activation and splicing.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
