Description (eCommerce)
N-Myc is a member of the Myc family of proteins which include c-Myc, N-Myc, and L-Myc. Myc family members are transactivating DNA binding proteins with oncogenic potential. Transactivation by Myc requires dimerization with other basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors. N-myc dimerizes with the MAX transcription factor.
Description (Vector)
MYCN is a member of the MYC family and encodes a protein with a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. This protein is located in the nucleus and must dimerize with another bHLH protein in order to bind DNA. Amplification of this gene is associated with a variety of tumors, most notably neuroblastomas.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
