Alternate Names
C9orf10; constitutive coactivator of PPAR-gamma-like protein 1; HBVPTPAP; OSSA; oxidative stess-associated Src activator; oxidative stress-associated Src activator; Protein FAM120A
Description (eCommerce)
Oxidative stress-associated Src activator (OSSA) may participate in mRNA transport in the cytoplasm (by similarity). OSSA is a critical component of the oxidative stress-induced survival signaling. It activates src family kinases and acts as a scaffolding protein enabling src family kinases to phosphorylate and activate PI3-kinase. It binds RNA and promotes the secretion of IGF-II. OSSA may play a pivotal role in the progression of scirrhous-type gastric cancer by supporting cancer cell survival in environments with various oxidative stresses [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9NZB2].

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
